Player Movement

Players most likely to be moved during this off-sesason:

Andre Johnson, Houston Texans - 3 years approx $43 million left on contract
109Receptions1,407 Yards5 TDs , 32 Years Old

With the Houston Texans in rebuilding mode and Johnson coming off a strong year at 32 years old, there is reason to think that other teams looking to compete for a championship will look to trade for him. Johnson is a big (6'3", 230 lbs) and physical threat that many opposing defenses will demand attention. He has been very durable in his NFL career so far so it wouldn't hurt to take a chance on a superstar WR that is likely still in his prime.

Likely destinations:

Detroit Lions: The Lions are looking for help across from Calvin Johnson and this move would give them two outstanding threats on the outside. They already have Matt Stafford who has proven he can throw the ball, as he's thrown for an average of over 4800 yards per season the last 3. With Andre Johnson, the Lions will look to have one of the best offenses in the NFL along with Stafford, Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush. They'll most likely have to part with multiple draft picks.

My guess for the price of Andre Johnson as the Lions aren't likely to trade their 1st rounder, they can probably trade this year's 2nd rounder and next year's 2nd rounder.

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts have one of the games best young QB and a core of WRs that, entering the 2014-2015 year, is somewhat questionable. Reggie Wayne is coming off a significant injury and TY Hilton is the only WR that seems to be the only one Andre Luck trusts. By adding Andre Johnson they can solidify their passing attack if Reggie Wayne doesn't regain his old form and can push the Colts to the next level.

Unlike the Lions, the Colts probably don't have high draft picks this year they want to give away (they already traded this year's 1st rounder to the Cleveland Browns for Trent Richardson -26th overall). Trading their 2nd round pick will leave them without a pick until the 3rd round, an unlikely situation but with the opportunity to add a talent such as Andre Johnson it could happen and it will help the Colts significantly.

San Diego Chargers: Phillip Rivers played pretty god darn well last year without the help of well known wide receiver (except for a rookie - Keenan Allen - from the 3rd round). With a low 1st round pick (25th overall), the Chargers can afford to trade that pick away to land Johnson to give Rivers some help up top. This move will give the Chargers some of the stability in the passing game that they surely lacked in the playoffs against the Broncos.

Carolina Panthers: The Panthers were one of the most surprising teams of the year. They played great defense but sometimes lacked the offensive punch that could have put them to the big game. With Cam Newton entrenched as the starting QB for years to come, and a roster strong enough to compete for the Superbowl next year, this move will give the Panthers a talent that will shore up their passing attack and make them one of the most dangerous teams next year.

The Panthers hold the 28th pick so it will be likely that they can package that pick with a few later round choices to land Andre Johnson.

Hakeem Nicks, New York Giants , UFA
56 Receptions 896 Yards 0 TDs

Nicks' struggles this year could have been attributed to the mighty struggles of Eli Manning. He has shown he can be a great receiving threat (79 receptions, 1000+ yards, 11 TDs in 2010). He will likely command anywhere from 7-10 million a year, and look for a deal similar to Mike Wallce last year, 5 years $60 million. He could very well get something similar since he's still only 26 years and has shown he is a durable player.

Likely destinations:

Detriot Lions
New England Patriots
Carolina Panthers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Kansas City Chiefs

Kirk Cousins, Washington Football Team, Rookie Contract

33-48 Completions-Attempts , 68.8% , 466 Yards, 4 TDs, 3 INTs

With RG3 the face of the Washington football team, Cousins will be likely headed out because of his potential as a starting QB. He played well in spurts while in place of RG3. If Cousins goes to a good offensive system where he isn't relied as much he'll probably become a good starting QB for 3-5 years. If Cousins do gets traded, the asking price will likely be high. My guess is multiple picks with one as high as 3rd.

Likely destinations:

Cleveland Browns: New coaches usually like to bring in their own players, especially at the QB position if there are as many questions as the Browns have. With Josh Gordon one of the up and coming elite WR of the game, Cousins could flourish here.

Minnesota Vikings: If Matt Cassell leaves the Vikings, which all signs points towards, they will now have an even bigger issue at the QB then they were previous with. With the 8th Pick, I do not think any QB at this point is worth taking (assuming Manziel and Bridgewater are gone at this point). Norv Turner can help develop Cousins and I feel this could potentially be a good move.

Oakland Raiders: Terrelle Pyror probably isn't the future, nor is Matt McGloin. The Raiders, historically, have been known to trade for players using high draft picks.

Wildcard Move

Erick Decker, Denver Broncos, UFA

A year after the Broncos signed Wes Welker away from the Patriots, the Patriots will look to sign Decker away from the Broncos. This move would give Tom Brady something he hasn't had in a while, an elite WR option. With questoins about the health of Rob Gronkowski and a group of young WRs, this would be a nice addition.
